Our goal at Symetrix is to evaluate athletes and develop a comprehensive program to increase performance and prevent injuries. We focus on movement dysfunction and postural deficiencies for all athletes, and specialize in baseball and overhead sports.
Although most athletes are healthy and injury free, they often move poorly. These poor movement patterns or movement dysfunction often leads to injury. Athletes with movement dysfunction are unable to build strength properly. When athletes attempt to build "strength" on top of poor movement, they continue to feed their movement dysfunction and increase their injury risk. Athletes who move well develop strength, power, and dynamic motions quicker and more efficiently and decrease their risk of injury.
The team at Symetrix will perform a thorough total body evaluation of each athlete addressing their movement dysfunction. Each player will have a program designed for their specific needs addressing strength deficits, flexibility issues, and movement dysfunction throughout the body. At Symetrix we don't simply train athletes; we train athletes with a purpose.
For baseball and softball players, Symetrix Sports Performance will perform a throwing or pitching evaluation and will correct faulty mechanics that often lead to injury. The staff of Symetrix has the unique ability to understand throwing mechanics, its effects on injuries, and how to prevent these injuries by improving faulty mechanics and correcting flexibility and strength deficits.
Each member of the Symetrix team has spent countless hours evaluating athletes, developing programs, and teaching proper technique.
